INSPECTORS A The Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation needs construction inspection personnel in the Leesburg Area. Excellent fringe aenefits. Interested applicants should apply to the Leesburg Residency Office, adjacent to Route 7 and the Route 15 ByPass east of Leesburg, Virginia, on Wednesday and Thursday, August 9 and 10, 1978, between the hours of 9:00 a m. and 12 Noon.

Construction Inspector Trainee: Qualifications: Completion of high school or equivalent and at least one year of experience in a highway construction organization. Additional education may be substituted for experience on an equivalent time basis.

Salary: $700 to $876 per month. Construction Inspector A: Qualifications: Completion of high school or equivalent and three years of construction experience, including two years of construction inspection. Substitutions for not exceeding two years of the required construction experience may be made on a year for year basis for: experience in surveying, drafting and design, materials control, or other experience that can be related to highway construction; or, education beyond the high school level in engineering or mathematics. Considerable knowledge of field objectives and procedures; ability to interpret contracts, special provisions, plans and specifications; ability to use engineering field equipment required for the work; ac curacy and neatness in recording data and preparing reports, ability to maintain a harmonious relationship with subordinates, contractors and the public.

Salary $876 to $1,094 per month

All selected applicants must be able to successfully pass a prescribed physical examination.
