Funeral services for Carroll Menefee Jenkins, 78, of Front Royal were held Wednesday in the chapel of Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, with the Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Burial followed in the Sperryville Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins died Sunday, July 30, 1978, in Warren Memorial Hospital.
Son of the late Silas Jenkins and Amanda Burke Jenkins, he was born in Rappahannock County March 1, 1900. He was a member of the Sperryville Baptist Church. His wife was the late Arrie Pullen Jenkins.
Surviving are three sons. Jack, Lewis and Charles Jenkins of Front Royal; a daughter, Virginia Tobin of Front Royal; one brother, Dolan Jenkins of Front Royal; one sister, Fannie Nicholson of Washington, Va.; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
