August 20, 1893, in Page County, son of the late William and Ann Strickler Bailey. He was retired from National Fruit Product Co., was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Grace Brethren Church. He was the husband of the late Sina E. Presgraves Bailey.
He is survived by one son, Thomas W. Bailey of Staunton; three daughters, Lula Martin of Verona, Mattie Woodward and Rosie Pullen, both of Washington, Va.; one step-daughter, Lauria Brown of Culpeper; two stepsons, James Bailey of Orange and Loring Foster of Martinsburg, W. Va.; 29 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren and one sister, Martha Armel of Berryville.
Guthridge
Mrs. Irene V. Guthridge, 70, of Claymont, Del., formerly of Winchester, died Wednesday, March 28, 1979 in St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del.
Funeral services were held Saturday from Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, conducted by the Rev. Paul N. Marsteller. Interment was in Mount Hebron Cemetery. Mrs. Guthridge was born Sept. 1, 1908 at Sperryville, daughter of the late Frank and Lena Atkins Sisk. She was the wife of the late Lawrence “Dud” Guthridge. She is survived by three grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
