Music Institute
The Nethers Farm Retreat and Educational Center for poets and musicians is holding a live-in Chamber Music Institute from July 18 until August 1. A distinguished oboist, Hugh Matheny, is the director. Matheny has played in numerous solo and chamber music performances around the world under noted conductors such as Bermster, Kubelik and Stokowski.
Anyone who plays viola, piano, wood-wind or other instruments is invited to convene at Nethers for two weeks of music playing with an opportunity for private lessons, coaching and performing.
With the volunteer cooking and dishwashing help vegetarian meals will be served.
There will be plenty of time to explore be country or for those who * h to get the feel of Nethers’ farm activities: milking goats, weeding the organic garden or tending the Nethers Worm Farm.
