Grace Episcopal Church, The Plains, was the setting Saturday, June 7, for the wedding of Janice Faye Ellison and Robert Edward Dorsey.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ellison and the granddaughter of Mrs. Roy Ellison and the late Mr. Ellison, all of The Plains. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Walter of Amissville.
Mr. Dorsey’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Dorsey of Gainesville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel P. Dorsey of Warrenton.
The Rev. G. Charles Rowe officiated at the 2 O’clock ceremony. Robert Worst of Broad Run was soloist and Miss Lorraine Hackett played the organ.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white organza gown with a full hoop skirt and Queen Anne neckline trimmed in Venice lace. Her fingertip veil, bordered in matching lace, fell from a headpiece of chiffon and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of daisies and baby’s breath arranged on a purse her grandmother Walter had carried at her wedding. The purse contained a handkerchief which' had belonged to the groom’s great-great-grandmother.
Mrs. Tina Glascock of Upperville was matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Miss Kathleen Dorsey of Gainesville, the groom’s sister, Miss Susan Altmann of Richmond and Miss Petula Wong of Chesapeake. Jessica Glascock, the bride’s niece, was flower girl.

Mr. and Mrs. Francis "Buck” Payne of Culpeper announce the birth of a son, Wayne Dean, on Thursday, June 19, 1980 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Grandparents are Mrs. Larry Sheppard of Sperryville, Bunny Settle of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Payne of Culpeper.
