Marshall edged out Amissville 2-3 in their June 13 game. There were two outs when Gary Settle walked and later captured second due to an overthrow to first. Gary Leake managed a single to center, allowing Amissville to score in the first inning.

The team scored a second run in the third inning when Vincent Aylor walked to first, stole second and went to third on a sacrifice hit when Tony Clatterhuck hit a ground ball to short.

Vincent Aylor. Tony Clatterbuck and Gary Leake all achieved singles for the Amissville team.

Leake was the losing pitcher, allowing the opposing team three hits and seven walks. He struck out six.

Sisson, of the Marshall team, was winning pitcher. He allowed three hits, walked five, and struck out 10.
