Recycflng area opens Saturday
All county residents are now permitted to drop off their recyclable materials at the new Washington recycling site one day a month, starting 8 ain.-noon on Saturday Jan.4. -
The new site is located next to the Washington Fire Department headquarters on Warren Avenue. Only newspapers are not being accepted.
For the first day next week the town will be passing out hats, refrigerator magnets and shopping bags.
Town residents are encouraged to do their recycling at the site on Saturday, as well as county residents. The drop-off day is designed to take pressure off the town's monthly house-by-house collections, so participation by town residents Saturday is ^npoftant
