Melvin Williams
Mr. Melvin Oscar Williams, 54, of Culpeper, died Monday, Dec. 23 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Rappahannock County July 11,1937, the son of the late Marvin and Marjorie Coughlin Williams.
He was a heavy equipment operator for W.A. Hazel Construction Co. and a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Tharpe Williams; one son, Michael Ray Williams of Culpeper; two daughters, Marjorie Lee Williams of Castleton and Melissa Richardson of Niceville, Fla.; three brothers, Eugene Williams and George Jackson Williams, both of Front Royal and Marvin Williams of Georgia and one sister, Margaret Dawson of Front Royal.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Allen Williams and his foster mother, Miss Mary Bruce.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 27 at Forest Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Sidney Rodriguez officiating. Interment was in Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne Carwile, Dr. Ben Allen, Dr. Robert Rutkowski, David Miller and Wayne Miller. ,
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Arlene Katherine Hartsook, 89, of Front Royal, died Thursday, Dec. 26 at the Royal Haven Rest Home in Front Royal.
