Russell Swindler
Mr. Russell Boston Swindler, 88, of Culpeper, died Saturday, Dee. 21 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was bom in Rappahannock County Jan. 26, 1908, the son of Omega B. and Ella Clark Swindler.
He was retired from the Post Office as Postmaster in Maryland after 87 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Bruce Swindler, a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas R. and Heide S. Swindler of Culpeper; a daughter, Linda Swindler of Memphis, Tenn. and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Swindler.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 28 at Found ft Sons Chapel In Culpeper. Interment was private at Fairview Cemetery.

Evelyn Clem
Mrs. Evelyn Rebecca Clem, 77, of AmissvUle, died Tuesday, Dec. 24 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
She was bom in Edinburg Nov. 9,1914.
She was a member of Jeffersonton Homemakers Club.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles A. and Lynda Clem of Amissville; one sister, Clara Bowers of Front Royal; one brother, Lester Carper of Edinburg; a number of nieces and nephews and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Milton Clem and a son, Milton E. (Joe) Clem.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 27 at Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. John S. Farrar officiating. Interment was in National Memorial Park in Falls Church. ^
