Ki Theatre in Washington, Va. has received a $3,000 grant from the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and Public Policy in support of their second annual “Exchange” program.
*The Exchange,” which will consist of four Sunday evenings this winter and spring, is a unique series of discussions focusing on area artists, and our community, and how the artists’ interaction with community directly impacts their work.
“The Exchange” is also about our community, the people who live in Rappahannock and the surrounding counties, and how different forms of artistic expression create a vitality that is essential to our culture.
The first half of each evening of “The Exchange” features selected excerpts from the works of Tom Davenport and Sidney Platt, Paul Reisler, Frederick Hart, Dinah Pehrson-Day and Ted Pugh.
The second half of the evening is a dynamic discussion with the audience members . . . their questions and insights, reactions to the works and topics such as the interactive relationship between culture and community.
