Hampton District representative Mike Massie and Jackson District representative Ron Frazier had arranged with Ms. Bruce to be sworn in earlier.
She swore in School Board members, and only new Jackson District representative Ron Makela was there. Dennis Wingfield from Piedmont District and John Tole from Stonewall-Hawthom had previously arranged to be sworn in. Wakefield District representative Paul Nichols had a doctor’s appointment, and Hampton District representative Bryant Lee had not contacted her, she said.
