to continue to lease the hay field being used as an overflow lot with a capacity of 200 cars. This requires an additional walk of .8 mile to the trail head. Last year the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services . Board offered van service from the parking lot to the trail head for 50 cents one way.
Other alternatives include developing new parking areas on private land adjoining the park or on a combination of park land and private land adjoining the park. Both these alternatives would be limited to 100 cars.
In the "past the park has included consideration of developing a campground on private land adjoining the park as one of the alternatives for future use in the area. That alternative is apparently no longer under consideration.
