t wo young women from Orange

County were killed early A Christmas morning when the car in which they were passengers crashed into the Covington River bridge on U.S. 211.B.J. Moss of Viewtown shot a bobcat in Harris Hollow. He had seen tracks and used his wife as bait. He sent her up the path talking and singing to bring the large cat out from under cover.

Mr. and Mrs. Horace Pullen celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary.

Christine Johnston won the town of Washington’s holiday decorating contest with a Della Robbia spray flanked by antique coach lights.

Snow caused several traffic

wrecks including one on U.S.

522 south of Woodville in which a car was totaled.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Barron of Viewtown announced the engagement of their daughter Deborah Lynn to Roger L. Flinchum, a teacher at the high school.
