Mr. Massie saia tnat naa not oeen a problem for the Planning Commission in scheduling meetings on the Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Frazier said the Amissville company charges the Boy Scouts.
Mr. Estes said the Sperryville Fire Company does not charge county or non-profit groups except for the election. He said sometimes groups leave quite a mess the members have to clean up. <
“This wasn’t our problem a couple of months ago,” Mr. Frazier said. “Now it’s our problem.”
Eventually the supervisors approved a set of suggested guidelines and appointed Mr. Gilkey, Mr. Burke and Jonas Alther to the board to review bills. During the evening session they also appointed Venizelos Lagos and Rick Wood as citizen representatives if they agree to serve.
The meeting began with the reelection of Mr. Gilkey as chairman and Mr. Estes as vice chairman. Mr. Massie was reappointed as the board’s representative to the Planning Commission, and Mr. Frazier was appointed the board’s representative to the Planning District Commission. The board agreed to continue meeting on the first Monday of the month except for holidays and to approved a proposal that the meeting would automatically be the Wednesday following that if the meeting date had to be changed for a holiday or weather.
