Of all the remarkable community services offered by volunteers in Rappahannock County, perhaps the most under-sung is the Loan Closet.
We, who have only recently had on occasion to use its services, feel a need to “sing its praises.”
This small, well supplied and wonderfully willing group'of dedicated volunteers offer services to anyone in need of home care fumishings/rom simply canes to complex wheel chairs, from bathroom appurtenances which assure the handicapped independence to elaborately designed hospital beds. They have all sorts of conveyances and conveniences which, were the persons needing them to procure them privately, would be very expensive.
