Rappahannock News Writer • Nancy Allegretto, Principal of Madison County High School this past year, was appointed by the School Board at their end-of-year payout meeting to the new position of Coordinator of Special Education. In this position, created as part of the reorganization plan proposed by Superintendent Dr. David Gangel and approved by the School Board at a meeting on June 21, Ms. Allegretto will: supervise arid administer Title VI-B Special Education programs; coordinate the Title IX and Title VI programs that prohibit discrimination in education on the basis of gender, race and national origin; administer civil rights activities, and bear responsibility for Title I programs, that are designed to provide education to disadvantaged children.
