recently moved from Colorado to Alexandria and was glad to have his friend come to his state to ride.
The comic relief and musical talent of the group came from Tom Doyle of Richmond and Jim Clayton of Yorktown. These two men sang a song in Rap style about their journey. They were the best entertainers.
The oldest member of the group was Jack Bane, at 71 years of age, and this is his seventh Bike Virginia. He says that he rides 60 miles a week to prepare for the tour.
All in all over 1100 people rode through our little town and enriched the volunteer’s lives at Amissville Baptist Church. They thanked all of us over and over again for our kindness and great refreshments. They were great people.
