Activities at Dreamtime
Making Herbal Beer will be held July 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Dreamtime Center for Herbal Studies near Washington. The cost is $60 and includes all materials. Spend a delightful day with Tara Welty learning all the howtos of herbal beer brewing.
Kitchen Cosmetics will be featured at Dreamtime on Aug. 18 from 9:30 to 4:30 Learn how to make, package, label and market your own natural health and beauty cosmetics. Lots of recipes will be given and through demonstration, you will create your own shampoos, hair rinses, facial toners, foot powders and more. The cost is $60 which includes all materials.

Carnival at Brandy Station
The Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department will host their annual fund raising event Aug 8-11. Inners Amusements will once again be providing the midway and will have over 14 rides for both the young and older ages. This is a very special year for the Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department because it marks their 50th anniversary.
A family night will be held Wednesday with a special ride price. The firemen's parade will be held on Thursday beginning at 6 30 and led by the newly crowned Miss Virginia. A matinee will be held on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. The carnival grounds are located just off of 15/29 in Brandy Station on State Route 685: which is Fleetwood Heights Road.
4th oj July fundraiser slated
The Washington Baptist Church will be sponsoring several fundraising activities during the annual Fourth of July event in Washington.
You are encouraged to come enjoy lunch or supper in the air-conditioned fellowship hall You will have a choice of a taco pizza or barbecued-chicken meal While you are eating check out the items in the Silent Auction or in the Grandma's Attic. You just might find a great deal! Proceeds from these activities will go to the Church Building Fund. Call the Church Office at 675-3336 for more information.
Piedmont Family Fair set
Live musical entertainment, fly fishing on the lake. Jack Russell terrier races and a wide assortment of fine crafters are just a few of the highlights at the 10th annua! Piedmont Family Fair scheduled for Wednesday. Ju'y 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m at Airlie Conference Centei, Warrenton. The Warrenton-based Piedmont Environmental Council sponsors the Piedmont Family Fair
