The Fourth of July in the Town of Washington will bring many special activities throughout the day. In addition to crafters and food vendors there will be a bicycle parade. As part of the parade the children are once again asked to decorate their bikes, wagons, scooters, skates, etc. and participate in the parade.

4th of July at Great Meadow

A roaring 4th of July event has been planned for Wednesday, July 4 at Great Meadow. Gates will open at 4 p.m. Featured activities will include fireworks choreographed to music, airshows, parachute skydiving, hot air balloon rides, live music, petting zoo, Goodyear Blimp, hayrides and a special U S. Armed Forces mock tank battle. Admission is $25 per car in advance and $40 per car at the gate. For information call 253-5001.

Culpeper to celebrate 4th

Plans for Culpeper’s annual 4th of July Celebration are well underway. There will be activities for all ages. There will be a 5K race, car and motorcycle show, a parade, clowns, sporting events and tournaments, food and music. Festivities move to Yowell Meadow Park in the evening with food and craft vendors, games for children and families, face'painting and more. The evening will conclude with patriotic music and a display of fireworks. Call 825-1093 for information.
