Long View Gallery in Sperryville will present the work of four area artists this fall. The first art show features the new still lifes and Virginia landscapes of Millwood artist David Williams. This show will open on Aug. 31 and run through Sept. 24 with a “Meet the Artist” reception at the gallery on Sept. 1 from 4 until 7 p.m.
David Williams is one of the area’s most exciting young painters. Hjs oil paintings are impressionistic representations of nature, flowers, trees and even simple objects like a bowl of fruit. His refreshing painter approach vigorously embraces shapes, colors, shadows and the fall of light and instills a sense of calm familiarity with his subjects and landscapes.
; Washington, Virginia’s renowned artist and illustrator Steve Wagner’s new oil paintings will be shown from Sept. 29 until Oct. 22. There will be a “Meet the Artist” reception for Steve on Sept. 29.
