The Starfish High School program continues to have much energy, and has successfully completed another year of mentoring. At the end of the school year, the 11 pairs met for a final evaluation and said a for; mal goodbye to each other, although many of them have formed a relationship which will endure through the rest of their high school career.

New Mentors have signed up, and their training will continue in the fall, when they will be introduced to their partners'. Although the program was initially contained with a specific grade level, it has become much - more flexible to meet thie' demands of individual pairfc. ' The program will be expandfea this year to include regular meetings of the entire group at least monthly during resource period.

This summer, the executive committee continues to meet to evaluate the past four years, and to implement new ideds into next year’s program.

The committee is undergo- . ing some changes with the resignation of Judy Tble, a founding member. She is not replaceable, but Betty Mahoney has joined the executive committee as of June, and has been enthu-1 siastically welcomed. ; •
