Democrats reschedule meeting

The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will fall on New Year’s Day this year, so that first meeting of the new year has been postponed to Tuesday, Jan 8 at the Rappahannock Library starting at 7:30 p m

Karate classes to begin

Shorin-Ryu Okinawan Karate classes will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Ki Theater on Gay Street in Washington. Junior classes will be held each Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and adult classes on Monday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. For additional information call Betsy Toth at 349-0632 or Arthur Drago at 635-7554.

Spring registrations accepted

The Rappahannock Soccer League is currently accepting 2002 spring soccer registrations. They are available at the Rappahannock Library and the Washington Post Office Kiosk.

Fees are $35 for first player and $20 for each additional family member. Some scholarships available. Volunteers are needed for coaching and an adult referee. Call the Registrar, Laura Dodd at 547-2968 for more information. The final day to register is Feb. 15, 2002.

Clinic will be open Jan 2

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Jan 2 and not again until Jan. 16
