The Rappahannock High School Glee Club will present a cantata Thursday evening at Washington Baptist Church.”Night of Miracles” was composed by John W. Peterson and is directed by Mrs. Warren Wilbur. Virginia Yates Bradford is accompanist.
A featured photo included the girl’s basketball team. Co-captains were Ginger Russell and Nancy Latham. Team members were Alice Wood, Doris Dodson, Anne Jenkins, Mary Norman, Peggy Smoot, Janice Dodson, Dotsy Davis, Susan Schaefer, Judy Latham and Carolyn Campbell.
Newberrys in Culpeper was advertising Old Dominion Christmas candies which included a colonial package of two pounds for $3.20 and whole chocolate covered nuts, one pound for $2.25.
This issue of the News ran 24 pages in a tab size and there was a short notice on the front page stating that this issue is the largest issue since before 1955, which is as far back as records are available.
