Following his graduation in May 2001 from the College of William and Mary, Jason Knight decided to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. He has completed his six month journey and returned home just in time for the holidays.
The Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a public footpath across 2,155 miles from Maine to Georgia.
A significant portion of the trail lies in the very nearby Shenandoah National Park. Many people hike portions of the trail each year, however few actually do it in its entirety.
