need them now. For years this has been discussed at fire department meetings. We always get the same j response; some fire companies don’t want to give up control to paid staff, and some officials with a lot of money don’t want to budget for the personnel.
This response is no longer acceptable. Our county’s population is growing and our community needs and deserves a rapid response from well-trained people in an emergency.
