Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Keyser Sr. of Alexandria are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Sue Keyser to James Gordon McFarlane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McFarlane of Winlock, Washington.

Michelle’s paternal grandparents are Addie Keyser and the late Robert L. Keyser of Washington. Michelle’s maternal grandparents are the late Arden Clare and Dora Underwood of Center Point, W. Va.

James’ paternal grandparents are Clyde McFarlane and the late Mary McFarlane of Winlock, Va. His maternal grandparents are Bill and Jo Ann Williquite of Longview, Washington.

The bride-to-be is a 1995 graduate of Word of Life Academy in Springfield, Va. and a 1999 graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax where she earned a Bachelor or Arts in Psychology. She is pursuing a graduate degree at George Mason University in Special Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis and plans to graduate in August.
