Despite school cancellations last week, the Rappahannock ounty High School Panthers
Bowl Team showed its academic prowess at the Bull Kun District Tournament at ( |arke County High School on •Ian 31
The turnout of spectators was impressive compared to ’ h°so f°r the other teams. Roger Mol lo and Dr. Robert Chappell Wl>re in attendance, as well as parents and well-wishers.
After an initial loss to Manassas Park, the Panthers defeated Strasburg and Clarke handily, then beat Manassas Park before facing their biggest challenge, George Mason.
At the end of the day, the RCHS team, captained by junior Anna Kreyling, took second place in the district, thus qualifying for the Regional Tournament slated for Feb. 14 at Riverheads High School near Staunton.
