I would like to state for the
record that I have the highest respect for our law enforcement officers, and have commended them for their help on calls. I would also agree that they are underpaid for the risks that ■“"frhey take on a daily basis.
The complaints that I have submitted to the sheriff in writing in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and now in 2004 are for the same mistakes that are made over, and over again.
These complaints range from dispatching on the wrong radio frequency, sending deputies to fire/rescue calls before calling fire/ rescue companies, delays in dispatching fire/rescue units that have been as long as 13 minutes, sending the wrong units to calls, telling units that they were responding to an injury that the dispatcher knew was a shooting, and possibly endangering the lives of my fellow members that respond from home.
I have offered solutions to these problems in open and closed meetings with the sheriff. The company I
