All that was left was the battle for first place. Only by beating George Mason twice could RCHS secure it. As usual, the first round was pretty even, with the Panthers trailing 40 to 50. Then, as usual, Mason moved out ahead in the directed round, outscoring the Panthers by 120 to 20, and then used their faster buzzer fingers to block RCHS out in Round 3, where they outscored RCHS 55 to 20. for a final score of 225-80.
