The bluegrass band, Shenandoah Travelers, will perform at the May 1 fund-raising dinner sponsored by the committee administering the Mary Beth Williams Memorial Fund. The event is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard McNear in Gid Brown Hollow.
Mary Beth Williams was tragically killed in an automobile accident on May 14, 1997. The fund established in her name provides scholarships for higher education, camp attendance and other activities for Rappahannock County youngsters. The deadline for scholarship applications is May 17. Applications should be mailed or delivered to the office of Douglas Baumgardner, 211A Main Street, Washington, VA. 22747.
