Rappahannock News Staff Writer

The Virginia State Police, the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office, the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office and Rappahannock fire and rescue companies handled the following cases in the past week:

On Saturday, April 17, a pickup truck crossing Route 211 West at Ben Venue Road struck a west bound 2001 Lexus driven by Patricia Marie Riendera causing it to roll over and end up on its roof. Both she and a passenger, her husband, wore seat belts. Riendera was treated for minor injuries at Fauquier County Hospital and released. Her husband was uninjured.

The driver of the 1997 Chevrolet pick-up truck, Cleve Tbdd Wallace was uninjured, according to Virginia State Police officer D. Corbin. Wallace was charged with failure to grant the right-of-way, according to Corbin. The Washington Virginia Fire and Rescue Squad responded and carried Riendera to Fauquier.
