Sr. and Tennie Laura Butler Jenkins.
He served his country in the U.S. Army; worked as manager of the Culpeper Co-op; retired as manager of Keller Manufacturing Company in Culpeper after 35 years; served as a deacon in the Alum Spring Baptist Church and loved gardening and yard work.
Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife, Virginia Geer Jenkins of Culpeper, VA; his children. Ronald Jay Jenkins and his wife Judy of Culpeper. VA, Teresa Jenkins Soedler and her husband Jim of Salisbury, NC and Judy Lynn Jenkins of Charlottesville. VA;
Additional survivors include his brothers. Thomas Edward Jenkins, William Walker Jenkins, Thomas Earl Jenkins, Jr. and Franklin Kyle Jenkins all of Culpeper, VA; two grandchildren, one stepgranddaughter, one greatgrandchild..
Funeral services were held May 21, in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, Culpeper, Va., with Rev. John Miller conducting the service. Interment was followed in the Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 E. Chandler Street, Culpeper, with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and V.F.W. Bast 2524 Honor Guards.
