Shannofa R Woodward of Washington, Va. and Corey P. Voorhies of Culpeper, Va. were united in marriage on April 19, at the Luray Pentecostal Church.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Albert Kling of Luray. The church was beautifully decorated with blue and yellow rose flower arrangements made by Jean Shaw of Washington, Va.
Shannon wore a long white beaded gown and carried a bouquet of blue roses accented with yellow and was escorted by her father, Wayne Woodward. The groom wore a black tuxedo with a blue vest and tie.
The maid of honor was Deborah Young of Luray escorted by the best man, Tommy Voorhies of Amissville. The bridesmaids were Anna Owens of Sperryville, Allison Antony of Washington, and Mia Nicolou of Luray
The ushers were Jeremy Miller of Front Royal, Blaur Atkins of Chester Gap, Wallace Dunfbrd of Amissville, and Michael Fewell of Washington.
The flower girl was Morgan Strassner of Luray escorted by Shannon’s brother Darren Woodward of Washington, Va.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Luray VFW catered by the Country Cafe.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is employed by the Piedmont branch of Rappahannock National Bank where she is lead teller.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is employed by Quality Tree Service, LLC.
After a week long honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, TN the couple now reside in Culpeper, Va.
