May 25: “The Link’s benefit concert

features Ben “Cooter" Jones”

“Vail come and bring the family” is Ben “Cooter” Jones’s call for the Rappahannock Nonprofit Center’s benefit concert for THE LINK, the new community center at the Schoolhouse in Sperryville. The afternoon celebration features Ben and the Garage Band and “General Lee,” Ben's beloved orange ‘69 Dodge Charger - Ben and the Band play from 1 to 4 and will mingle with folks before and after for tellin' tales,’ taking pictures and signing autographs. An enthusiastic crowd is expected and everyone is encouraged to bring chairs/blankets for this rain or shine event. There are no advance ticket sales. Gates open at noon. Admission is $10 for adults, children 12 and under free, family car rate $25 (2 adults and 2 teens). Food concessions are available and NO ALCOHOL is permitted. May 26: Memorial Day Ceremony

A brief ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at the Sperryvifle Cemetery will be held Memorial Day - Monday morning at 10 a.m. - consisting of placing a wreath and the taps being played in honor of all our veterans. Please join us for the Ceremony - ail are welcomed to attend.

Bolen Cemetery Picnic and Clean-up Day. All those wishing to join us for the semi-annual Bolen Cemetery clean-up/ picnic will meet at the end of Rt. 614 (Keyser Run Road) in Gid Brown Hollow by 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7.
