Henry B. Brown

Native ofWoodville

Henry Bruce Brown, 79, of Woodville died Saturday, July 5, at his residence.

He was bom September 27, 1928 in Woodville to the late Henry Aldridge Brown and Chloe Merle Brown.

Mr. Brown attended Sperryville Elementary School as a child. He was inducted into the Army/Air Force in November, 1946, and honorably discharged in November, 1949 with the rank of corporal.

He then continued his life’s adventures as a loyal employee of the Holsum Bread Company, retiring after 25 years of service. After that he continued his love of farming by managing Natalie Emery’s farm. He is a member of Thornton Gap Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Marie “Satch” Brown and three children, Robert Bruce “Buck” Brown, Lawrence William “Skizicks” Brown and Tanya Gail “Monkey” Bass.

Additional survivors include five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister, Bonnie H. Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Wayne Brown.

A funeral service was held on July 8 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. John Burke officiating.

Interment was followed in Sperryville Cemetery.
