Enthusiasm for the details of the town of Washington's new wastewater system was noticeably diminished when it came to reviewing the new sewer ordinance line by line at Monday’s council work session.
Apart from legal wrangling between Peter Luke, Commonwealth’s Attorney and attending as the representative of Rappahannock County government, Sharon Luke, real estate attorney, and town attorney John Bennett, the few residents who initially attended the meeting began to dwindle as perhaps those seeing no opportunity to berate the council or cheer at some rhetorical score against actually having to pay for a sewer system silently left one by one.
