broccoli, potatoes, asparagus, cauliflower, collard greens, cabbage, lettuce, cucumbers, spinach, beets, carrots, onions, tomatoes, peppers, winter and summer squash, zucchini, green beans, and sweet com. Fruits like blueberries, strawberries, melons, apples, peaches and plums are welcome. Herbs would be appreciated, as well.

Take your donations to the old Burger Bam at The Link (Sperryville Schoolhouse) on Monday afternoons. Volunteers will receive it, thank you, and combine yours with other gardeners’ contributions. County residents in need will pick up the produce — and recipes — on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

What You Can Do

Gardeners: Plant a little extra for those in need. Your donations will feed people who wouldn’t otherwise have fresh food. Tom Benjamin, Executive Director of the Fauquier Food Bank, says he can always get processed food but never enough fresh food. Never.

Anything left over from Plant a Row on Wednesday will be driven to the Fauquier Food Bank. In short, everything you donate will nourish a hungry family or individual.
