referrals from all the churches and service agencies of the county, including fire, rescue, and police. There is a form available to make such referrals. An executive committee of five persons will make the decisions for dispersals. Grants of up to $400 may be made fairly quickly, involving at least two of the five members. Grants above $400 and/or with special circumstances will require three signatures. Funds will normally be payable to vendors and not to the recipients of the services. The fund seeks to meet emergencies in the basic areas of heat, electricity, food, and rent, but is open to other possibilities as they arise.
