Victory Gardens
In 1943, Eleanor Roosevelt tort1 up part of the White House lawn, created a Victory Garden, and encouraged citizens to do the same at their homes. By the end of World War II Americans raised 40 percent of their own produce.
We have the land, the talent, the edmpassion, and the need in Rappahannock County. Plant a Row is a start toward ending hunger in our county.
