The Smithsonian at Little Washington chamber music series begins its 20th season Oct. 31 with a concert by six members of the Smithsonian Chamber Players, celebrating “Haydn Year 2009.”

The 8 p.m. performance at the Theatre at Little Washington commemorates the 200th anniversary of the death of Austrian composer Joseph Haydn

The program is all great music by Haydn two trios for baryton, violin and cello; a flute-cello-piano trio; a violincello-piano trio; and Johann Peter Salomon’s 1801 arrangement of Haydn's “London” Symphony (No. 104) for flute, string quartet, and piano.
