WORKSHOP

From Page B1

On Oct. 31, at the RAAC Theatre, 310 Gay Street, between 10 a m. and 1 p.m., you will enter into a very personal world of your inner clown. He or she belongs only to you but may not know how to emerge from the daily life you lead. Your clown, once discovered, will be encouraged to be a part of a scene with the other clowns in the workshop. The group will create a story line and by the end of the session have a piece that can be presented to an audience.

The session will be active and participants should expect to be exploring their clown side throughout the session. This is a time to get your clown on its feet, not sit and listen to a lecture.

The workshop is free and limited to 12 clowns. To reserve a space please call Char 540-937-4727 and leave a message that you would like to attend. Consider your reservation confirmed if you do not receive a call back. To help your clown emerge please bring an object or piece of clothing that has some special meaning for you. Also bring a light lunch for yourself that will become part of the clowning experience. '
