It was astonishing to see the letters to the editor attacking Terry Dixon in the Oct. 15, issue of the Rappahannock News.

Especially disconcerting was the accusation that Mr. Dixon is a “newcomer” and has “so little grasp” on the “genteel” traditions of “non-partisanship” in Rappahannock County. Perhaps the writers of these anti-Dixon screeds should be reminded that John Lesinski, their candidate for the House of Delegates 15th District has lived in the county for two years while Mr. Dixon has lived and worked in the county since early 2002.
