Once they learned about Chimp Haven and its mission, though, the group did what many others do upon discovering the Louisiana sanctuary for chimpanzees: They offered a donation.
Spread over 200 acres in Keithville, La., the sanctuary currently cares for 127 chimpanzees, most of whom came to the facility afler years of living in laboratories where they were used in medical research.
