hosted a tour and tea to benefit Trinity Episcopal Church. The event raised $10,000 for the church and 1,000 people attended. On April , 4,2000, The Inn will repeat the performance. O’Connell recalls the first event, “We felt it would have to be on a day that we are closed, so we close Tuesday. We were not expecting too big a turnout." But turnout they did. The line extended all the way around the block.

Three 4-H members. Josh Makela, Gunnar Propst and Jesse Palmer all from Rappahannock County attended the 4-H Junior Caving Trip near Franklin, W. Va. Lance Johnson, 4-H leader on the trip, pointed a lot of things out. On Saturday, the group visited a commercial cave to get used to being underground. The members also explored Trout Cave where there were a lot of bats .

Though hardly diverted from its business of education, the School Board and departing members Bryant lee, Ron Makela, and Chairman John Tble were honored Tuesday night for their dedication, hard work, selflessness and effectiveness by an auditorium filled with who**! staff, community activists, and parents. ,
