She has been employed by the Rappahannock school system since 1950, although she worked at home raising her two children, between 1953-1965, and was a substitute teacher between those years.
The Rappahannock County School Board expressed its concern over the delay in repairs to the elementary school roof at its meeting on Tuesday. The Board had expected to have the roof repairs completed at the end of the session’s first month, but Superintendent Robert Estabrook told the Board that only 40 percent has been finished to date. The Board authorized EBtabrook to contact Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke about the legal implications surrounding the contract with the roofing firm. The tune limit set forth in that contract has been exceeded.
