Nottingham, Jr., Buried in Culpeper A funeral service for Edgar J. Nottingham. Jr.. 79. father of Scottsville's Methodist minister, the Rev. E. J. Nottingham. Ill, was held Friday at Culpepei Methodist church with burial in Culpeper Masonic cemetery. In addition to his son here he is survived by the widow. Mrs. Mary Payne Nottingham, seven sisters. Mrs. R. H. Payne, of Rem ington. Mrs. Mercer Garnett, of Albemarle county. Mrs. Walter Somerville, of Barnardsville, N. C . Mrs. Gregg A. Thompson and the Misses Cora Alice and Lucy Nottingham, all of Culpeper, and three grandchildren. Mr Nottingham was achve in the Culpeper community. He or ganized the Retail Merchants as sociation there and tire Junior Chamber of Commerce. Amelians to Enter District Contest Three acts from Amelia will b“ entered in the 4-H district "share the fun" contest Friday at 7:30 p. m. at South Hill Elementary School. Amelia winners Mary Elizabeth Andenon, Talton Handy and tap dancers Alice Anderson Ruth Griles and Carol Williams will take part. A fourth act, by Bever ly Noble, will be presented if time allows. Acts from Dinwiddie, Nottoway. Mecklenburg. Lunenburg and Brunswick will also be entered.
