Dickie Is Still the Boss Editor of the Herald: My birds have not appeared in ! your paper for some ttme. They are quite sensitive, and I am afraid they will not be happy. Dickie still lives on raisins, and he called for his breakfast this morning before I had mine. I served ; him immediately. There are too many purple grackles visiting me now. and they are very noisy. Dickie i cannot drive them away, although they are not his friends. Spring flowers are very beautiful •now. jonquils, forsythias. hyacinths, japonicas. bridal wreaths, and others are lovely. This is indeed a beautiful world, even if we do not appreciate it as we should. State birds are quite busy, and are very handsome, but Dickie is the boss here.
