The Masonic Lodge, A. F. & A. M., No. 78, of Washington, ejected the following new officers at their meeting held in the lodge room Tuesday, December 27: Worshipful Master Paul ^Walker; Senior Warden' El G. Hackley; Junior Warden R. H. Rowzie; Senior Deacon G. W. Smith;' Junior Deacon W. H. Wood, Jr.; Secretary Gibson Wharton; Treasurer James M. Settle; and the following" officers were appointed by the Worshipful Master: Stewards, W.F. Bywaters and L. H. Luttrell; Chaplain Dr. W. G. Pendleton; Tiler C. T.Bruce.

Looking ahead to food supplies nebct year, food economists of the U. S. Department of Agriculture forsee turkeys in abundance both for the usual holidays and also for dinners earlier in .the fall, slightly larger fruit bowls, frozen orange juice on more 'breakfast tables, sightly more butter, cheese, and some other dairy pfrockdts, more ham and eggs for Easter, and plenty of lard for pies and pastries.
Total supplies of meat and fish in 1950 are expected to be larger than in 1949, with considerably more pork, more grain-fed beef, more fish but perhaps even less lamb and mutton.
