Agronomists To Compile
Recommended Croo List
Members of the agronomy staff of VPI’s Extension Service and Experiment Station will meet January 10-12 to summarize results of this year’s research, and make recommendations for 1950 crops in Virginia. \
H. L. Dunton, head ofHhe department, said varietal recommendations, and with plant pathologists and entomologists, will make suggestions for disease and insect control.
Included on the agronomy staff are scientists from the Virginia Experiment Station’s outlying field units.
Sheep Breeders To Hold
January Meeeting
Virginia’s two sheep breeders’ associations will hold their annual meetings in January, G. WLitton, associate. anima; husbandman at V.P.I. and secretary for the group, announces.
The Valley Northern Association will. meet January 20 in Staunton.
The association members will disciss plans for the 1950 series of ram sales, and will elect officers. Officers of the Valley Northern group are H. C. Lunceford, Jr., of Monterey, president, and Robert W. Sharpe, The Plains, vice-president.
