W.H.S. Celebrate*

Christmas

Thursday began per usual with morning devotional in the home rooms. Carols were then sung and morning classes began.

At 12:30 the entire student body assembled in the auditorinm. The program began with the student council sponsored play. “Bang Goes Christmas”. Everybody from the giggling first graders to the smiling juniors and seniors enjoyed the comedy. A sextette of 'Lucy Mae Smith, Lois Walters, Helen Nethess, Charles Scroggins, Paul Bennett and Winfrey Burke sang a beautiful selection.

The Gle£ Club, conducted by Miss Wood, rendered “Shepherd’s Christmas Song”, “Lo how? a Rose E’re Blooming” and “The Eeho’ Carol.”

After marching from the auditorium, pupils went to their home rooms for their party and to receive their presents.

Two basketball games were raging on the court.

Everybody was effervescent and overflowing with the Christ* mas spirit.

School’s out for the holidays with pupils calling back “Merry Christmas—Happy New Year”— See you next year.
